~ Week 18 of 2011 ~ Clay Canes & Lady Gaga inspired Bling nails !

pre-sliced Emoticon Clay Clanes
Clay Canes are so cool !
There are so many....fruits, flowers, fishys, just to name a few ! This week the ladybug and bumblebee were so popular. They usually come in a small stick and them I have to slice them super thin but I found these beautiful canes pre-sliced courtesy of Kennick Kreations and boy was I impressed with their detail and quality. I little on the pricey side but well worth it. I needed them in a hurry and they had them shipped out on a Monday and got them on Wednesday morning. All canes are hand rolled by Bonnie herself. Her and her husband make all kinds of cute and pretty things. I think you'll be impressed with their stuff. For more info check out their blog Kennick Kreations Blog
Rosie's fruit saladRosemarie always allows me to get creative with her nails fashion of the month..this visit I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Each nail was a little different with a white tip glitter fade in lime, lemon, tangerine and a pink melon. We used kiwi's, lemons, limes, pink grapefruits and watermelons !

Wendy's Bugs...lol !
When Wendy walked in, the first thing she said to me was "You got bugs ??" ...huh..?? ah, no, I'm not having any problem with "Bugs" at this time...( living in Geneva Florida there was a time in the late fall that we did have a seriously bad time with love bugs ) ...I thought what a weird question to ask...lol..! Well she meant the clay canes ! Oh we had a good laugh at that !! We did the bugs on her nails, labybug and bumble bee's, butterfly's and miss Wendy loves purple. So we did a purple and pink glitter acrylic fade foundation with embellished bugs and flowers.

Bling is always in especially when Lady Gaga comes to town ! I did 5, count 'em, 5 of the same silver Bling fades and 2 silver Bling fades tipped with a slight fade of turquoise ....I did them over natural nails so  of course I used a base and top of Shellac...so beautiful !

Bling Nails
Sorry this picture is a little fuzzy but it still show off the bling...Candace brought her sweet sister in for your "not so typical" prom nails, her dress was silver so of course we bling'd her out in super silver confetti flakes with matching rockstar toes and all ! Candace liked it so much she had to "ditto" !! Thanks girls...:)

Amanda saw Brittany's Leopard over neon acrylic last week and had to have the spots !!! Animal prints are always a favorite ! But I got to do something on Amanda I've always wanted to do on my nails , a glitter tip blend of copper, chocolate and gold colored glitters with leopard spots all over them....honestly we tried several poses with multiple backgrounds and just could not capture the full beauty of these gorgeous nails...I used a combo of black and gold acrylic paint for the spots....

These are my  favorites of last week, I hope you've enjoyed looking at them as much as I enjoyed doing them ...To schedule an appointment visit my website http://www.NailsDoneRight.com For iphone and ipod users visit my blog http://www.NailsbyLindaReyes.com

Last but not least...I got to see my fab friend Jessica ! I love my Jess ! She was with me back in 2005 when my multi color and glitter tip creativity started a whole new trend here in the little ole town of Oviedo. These Oviedo HS girls went crazy ! Unfortunately I was a one woman show and scheduling apts on a regular basis with me was not their thing. So when they went to the Non Standardized Salons (NSS or discount salon) they requested stuff like I did. Most of those salons are closed now due to the "non" recession & I'm still standing strong & better than ever...and my miss Jess is one very loyal fan...I love you Jessica, thank you so much for everything ! Here's what we did Friday morning..a neon version of her Earth Day Birthday Sweet 16 Bob Marley style nails we did a few years back, xox
